Montana Climate Change Advisory Committee 

The Montana Climate Change Advisory Committee (CCAC) was charged with developing an inventory and forecast of greenhouse gas emissions in Montana and presenting to the Governor an action plan with recommendations to reduce the state’s greenhouse gas emissions. The Chapters are a summary of the recommended policy options in the five sectors addressed by CCAC: 1) Residential, Commercial, Institutional, and Industrial; 2) Energy Supply; 3) Transportation and Land Use; 4) Agriculture, Forestry, and Waste Management; and 5) Cross Cutting Issues. The Appendixes provide the full detailed analysis of each recommended policy option and information related to the CCAG's establishment and process.

The meetings and documents listed below provide a record of the option selection process, analysis and deliberations of the CCAC in coming to consensus on the final recommendations.

Meetings and Documents 

As part of the process for finalizing its report and recommendations, the CCAC held a conference call meeting on Tuesday, October 9 from 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm Mountain Standard time. The public was invited to attend in Room 111, DEQ Metcalf Building, 1520 E 6th Ave., Helena.

A CCAC teleconference meeting was held Monday, September 10, 2007 from 3:00-4:30 pm Mountain Time to review the policy options revisions and requantification incorporated since the July 6^th meeting of the CCAC.
